Fishing excursions in Ii
Ice fishing
On this trip we get experience from ice sea and ice fishing. Frozen sea is absolutely beautiful in winter. During the trip our experienced fishing guide will share his knowledge of the ice fishing, baits and lures. Of course fishing is the main goal for the adventure but we don't forget to enjoy nice views on open frozen sea. Sausages will be served by an open fire outdoors. The trip doesn’t require previous fishing experience.

Stillwater fly fishing in private lakeTrip description short: On this trip we fly fish rainbow trout in private small lake. Rainbow trout does not reproduce naturally in Finnish waters but it is the most common game fish on many rapids sites, small lakes and angling ponds. We will meet at lakefront the private small lake. During the fishing trip our experienced fishing guide will share his knowledge of stillwater fishing, equipments and flies. Of course fishing is the main goal for the adventure but we don't forget to enjoy finnish nature too. Sausages will be served by an open fire outdoors. The trip doesn’t require previous fishing experience but fly casting skills recommendable.
Trip duration: 4-5 hours
Trip includes: Guidance, flies (if needed), drinking water, campfire coffee and sausage. Please wear clothing according to weather and good boots (waterproof) recommendable.
Available: 1st of June to end of September.

Explore wild berries and herbs
Yrttiaitta Saarento makes products from wild berries and wild herbs, and hosts events for small groups in country-side setting in Ii, Finland.
Saarento is an over 130 year old homestead, where you can find the Saarento Stall. It has been transformed into an event space, and up to 10 guests can fit around its big log table. The stall is available for hire from May until August. On the corner of the estate you can find a space for a campfire, that can fit 8 people. It can be used all year round.
The food for both Saarento Stall and the campfire can be customised for your needs. We mainly use local produce that is in-season to create uncomplicated dishes, that heavily feature wild herbs harvested nearby. Yrttiaitta uses ingredients found in the nearby forests, which are combined in an innovative way.
